music videos on its popular video-sharing site YouTube after
negotiations with Britain's music royalty-collecting body broke down.
The contract that Google has signed with the Performing Right Society,
the organization which collects rights on behalf of music publishers,
composers and lyricists, has expired, and negotiations on a new
agreement have failed. According to the PRS YouTube demanded a new
contract for a fee much higher than previously, as YouTube it would
