announced on Wednesday.
Play will implement Tata's voice termination product VTS Prime
Solution to manage customer call quality. VTS Prime allows mobile
operators to pass on the burden of ensuring high quality international
calls to another telecom operator.
"We chose to work with Tata Communications because of their extensive
network backbone and experience, which was well positioned to fully
manage and support issues our company was facing as a start-up
operator," Play Carrier Relations director Piotr Kuriata said in a
joint statement.
"Mobile operators need robust voice solutions that provide the highest
levels of quality for their subscribers when making and receiving
international calls both in their home country as well as when roaming
