Nvidia chipset launches platform

Nvidia announced yesterday, two new products: a platform, called Ion, dedicated processors low Californian founder of Intel (Atom) and a new graphics solution high-end, the GeForce GTX 295.

The Ion platform consists of a tiny motherboard format Pico-ITX with a GeForce 9400M chipset team that already the new Apple MacBook. The advantage of this platform is to offer micro PC - the motherboard is less than 15 inches long - whose performance is such that not only should the office, but also play HD content or play.


On paper, this is probably one of the most interesting for Atom, both in terms of heat dissipation - the TDP announced the 9400 M W is 12 against 21 W for both Intel chips - On that performance. Reste à voir le prix. It remains to see the price.
