Re: FTA Receivers
Free to Air television and radio broadcasts are sent unencrypted and may be received via any suitable receiver and FTA receiver is a satellite receiver which is equipped to receive unencrypted FTA satellite transmissions.Modern decoders are typically compliant with the MPEG-2/DVB-S and more recently the MPEG-4/DVB-S2 standard for digital television, while older FTA receivers relied on analog satellite transmissions which have declined rapidly in recent years. There are lots of FTA brands that offer FTA receivers in two types that is FTA HD Receivers and FTA Receivers.

Re: FTA Receivers
Most FTA receivers are stand-alone hardware boxes which are very like the networks of the Dish or DirecTV receivers look. Some PC-based FTA satellite receivers also exist. These devices allow you to FTA satellite on your computer to watch.

With HD FTA Receivers you will be able to get all the channels in HD. You do need a satellite dish that can capture HD channels. You can try Viewsat MaxHD which is the best selling Free To Air Receiver with faster processor (200 MHz), double the memory of the Xtreme (32 Mb SD RAM), and a USB communications port for easy data updates.
