Would you like Bethesda to patch in DX11 support and High Res Textures in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I couldn't use DX11 even if the game supported it. (XP here) Not necessarily against it. But I'd rather them get DX9 working better for everyone. And better textures will come via mods. Now I just wanted to know from you all… Would you like Bethesda to patch in DX11 support and High Res Textures in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim comment your all ideas here.

Being a little too entitled. As much as I would love these features, the game is fine without them. Obviously we have consoles to blame, but we were all well aware that this was going to happen, and you were foolish to think otherwise. I'd sooner like to see 64bit support over DX11 or high res textures. Textures will come with mods, DX11 support is something they would have added during development, too late to for that now. Doubt most would even see any difference with DX11 anyways. Stability, performance, and bugs should be their entire focus.

Yeah, we get it, you have a powerful PC and want to make the most of it but one week after the game's release, you are already petitioning for this? Can’t you just enjoy the game? Not to mention that with all the bugs, stability issues and glitches people encounter, dx11 support would just make everything worse in the engine. Would dx11 really add that much to the experience for you?

I understand the need to make use of expensive modern hardware but right now, Bethesda needs to focus on fixing the dozens of problems people have with the game. Also, it's a little unsympathetic towards those people, that while they are trying to overcome bugs and glitches, you ask for dx11. Good for you that that's the only problem you have.

A game's quality of art is not dictated by being able to look down at a beach and see every little grain of sand. While some of the textures are not in their resolution, the presentation of all the texturing work together is breathtaking; culminating in one of the best looking games I think I’ve ever seen. That and you can see for miles. It's incredibly well done. It could perform better, yes, but that's another topic altogether. It doesn't lag to the point that my system is brought to its knees.

Art direction is great. But the incredibly low res moss and other things in dungeons, the walls, the terrible animations, and other things break the immersion. I shouldn’t have to ignore all the terrible low res textures, or the extreme low poly objects to enjoy the games visuals. Even Dragon age 2 featured a PC hi res and dx11 set for people to enjoy the visual presentation better. No reason at all other than laziness on Bethsoft part to not do it, and to release the PC version in such a rubbish condition. I only buy Bethsoft games for the modding, because they turn the trash into gold. If Bethsoft ever dropped modding for the PC. The game would be a flop.

Yeah, I think overall the game looks pretty good. I never really expected High-Resolution textures everywhere, or tessellation. You can mod in your own textures or download packs of textures come up with down the road. There are bugs that need to be fixed, it runs great, but it could use some optimization for higher performance. So, as far as I know, the game doesn't use Direct X 11 at all. Is that right? Are they planning on implementing it in some way? I know they talked about it earlier this year.

Wasn't this supposed to be this great new engine? I'm seeing a lot of Fallout/New Vegas in Skyrim also. I love the art direction like most but hell it looks like they really skimped on textures which I wouldn't have expected in a great new engine.
