How to Create Skyrim Looks beautiful in the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
This method does not inhibit Performance, yet it makes the game look much better!! Look for yourselves!. Before doing this I will tell you Some AMD cards have trouble with this mod. HD6950 and HD6970 are confirmed to be fully compatible with this mod. Will check on other AMD cards soon. Okay, follow these steps to Create Skyrim Looks beautiful in the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:
First of all to do this you need to download the below file and to do this download this make click below RAR file.
Once you finish the downloading and after that install to your Skyrim Folder. Use the first option, Higher Saturation.
A file will show up in your Skyrim folder, like injFX_Settings.h
Now just open this file on the WordPad or notepad by making right click on the file.
You will see a section named filter selection. Edit it to make it look exactly like this:
Quote:
/*------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FILTER SELECTION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------*/
// Comment to deactivate an effect.
// Example: To disable the tonemap effect, use // in front of #define USE_TONEMAP
#define USE_ANTI_ALIASING
#define USE_PRE_SHARPEN
#define USE_BLOOM
//#define USE_TECHNICOLOR
//#define USE_TONEMAP
//#define USE_SEPIA
//#define USE_VIGNETTE
//#define USE_POST_SHARPEN
//#define USE_FINAL_LIMITER
Just change this section and don’t do anything
Once you finish adding this and after that save this file.
To successfully make use of this mod, disable AA and enable FXAA from the game's advanced settings (from the launcher).

i totally dislike FXAA although it doesn't look like it's overly "contrasting" the image like most other's FXAA's... However using FSAA produces essentially the same if not clearer images.. Then again I’m not playing at 1440x900...... I’m playing at something over 6 times the definition you’re playing at....

Sure the game is about Gameplay...... but some of us can't help but love how the game can be utterly beautiful graphically specially with the level of realism or as close as you can get to it. To each their own..... i don't care what anyone else uses.. i know what i like and what I've fumbled around with via in changes and such to make my game look good short of breaking things..

I already use the Injector, but I might try your settings just to see how they look. It took me awhile to get mine how I like them but it's worth a shot. Also, are you using Skyrim AA, AF or FXAA settings? Just curious as I have tried multiple methods using the injector and changing Skyrim AA settings. Last night I think I found good balance to maintain 60 FPS. Biggest FPS limiter for me was Shadows on Ultra...changing them to High yielded 15 FPS more..too bad the shadows are ugly. Also just for those that have never used an Injector, you can tab out, change the Settings file, and tab back in, it updates on the fly. So if you want to experiment you don't have to keep quitting the game. Also, you can toggle it completely with the pause button during playing..So you can compare.

These are my shadow in settings in the skyrimpref.ini file
Quote:
iBlurDeferredShadowMask=3
fInteriorShadowDistance=3000.0000
fShadowDistance=6000.0000
iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=4096
iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=8192
iShadowSplitCount=2
fShadowLODStartFade=1000.0000
iShadowMode=3
bTreesReceiveShadows=1
bDrawLandShadows=1
bShadowMaskZPrepass=0
iShadowMapResolution=4096
fShadowBiasScale=0.1500
iShadowMaskQuarter=4
iShadowFilter=3
bDrawShadows=1
Those are just in order of how they appear in the INI for anything that is shadow related...

I use it too and I just use it for some sharpening and to get rid of the haze covering the screen. These two things alone, makes the game x10 more gorgeous and realistic looking. I stay away from the vignette and color changing settings since they have a tendency to just make things look, weird. You owe it to yourself to try it out if you care about how the game looks. This combined with the in game FXAA and some good shadow tweaks, and you are good to go with no major hit on performance.

Re: How to Create Skyrim Looks beautiful in the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I tried it, and the shadows are more pronounced and the wash, as subtle as it was, looks better when it's absent. However, with these shaders active, on screen displays like those provided by the MSI OSD server don't work. Also, I usually just use FXAA and not AA since it's not really necessary at 2560x1600 resolution, but when I enabled 8X AA, I got a blue line around the loading screens. Not very pretty, but AA does nothing for me at this resolution, so there's no reason to use it.
