Unable to Import Mass Effect 2 Save Game in Mass Effect 3
Hello I have just installed this game and I have found lots of bug on this game. After that installing Mass Effect 3 I have tried to Import Mass Effect 2 Save Game in Mass Effect 3 but I am not able to do this. I have not faced the any issue with the Mass Effect 2. Can anyone suggest on this issue and so that I can solve mine issue.

I am frustrated by this game. I have played 20 minutes of play last night and I have got the below issues on this game: first I am not able to import my ME2 saves even though I had the original files in default location. Secondly I have issue with creating new game profile. After playing 10 minutes mine game get hangs and I am not able to play this game properly. So first of all think all the game bugs should get removed…

Hello I have solved this issue buy over writing backyo .zip folder on mine game. First I went to documents/bioware/ME2/save/ directory and after that I have override backyo .zip existing folder and mine issue was get solved. So I think you just try to do this and after that let me know.

Go through the below steps on your system and after that you can Import Mass Effect 2 Save Game in Mass Effect 3 without any issue:
go to your C:\User\Documents\BioWare
You should see a folder for each of your Mass Effect games and go to the below location C:\User\Documents\BioWare....Click on the Mass Effect 2 folder
now here make click BIOGames
now on the BIOGames make click on Config and then click GamerSettings
now open GamerSettings file and Scroll down till you see this line.

Location=C:\Users\(Users Name)\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\Save
Copy that WHOLE LINE

Location=C:\Users\(Users Name)\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\Save
and close the windows that you have opened. Now open Mass Effect 3 folder and under that go to the BIOGame and then click on the Config folder. Now here open the GamerSettings file and the very last line which should say MPVoiceContinueOnLostFocus=False, click by False so writing course is there. Hit your Enter key twice
now once you done and after that paste the copy code which you have copied from Mass Effect 2 folder
So you should see again this

Location=C:\Users\(Users Name)\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\Save
Now from here all you have to do is add a space and 2 is that line so it reads

Location=C:\Users\(Users Name)\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\Save
Go to file and hit save
Close window
Now back to C:\User\Documents\BioWare
Click on Mass Effect 2
Click on Save
select all the files in here and copy them. The files should read your characters name.
Example for me it reads like this

Palioxis_31_Soldier_030312
Palioxis_31_Soldier_090212
Go back to C:\User\Documents\BioWare
select Mass Effect 3 and then click on Save
now here Right click anywhere in folder and hit paste or hit CRTL and V
now once you done and after that close the all windows and then launch the game.

Hello thanks for the replies and I have tried the all above steps but it still doesn't work. I have my Mass Effect 2 save folder still here although mass effect 3 won’t read save game. Can anyone give other solution to solve this issue. Thanks in advance..

Hello thanks for the replies and I have tried folder creation things for individual saves and this has been worked for me. Although after doing this mine all characters to earthborn/sole survivors instead of spacer/warheroes. Mine mass effect character shows in the Import mass effect 2 character slot but when I tried to press import it does nothing. Now character not working at all. Please can anyone suggest me how to solve this issue.

hello thanks for the replies and i have solved mine issue through above pots. i have just followed the all steps as given above and then restart the mine game. now i am able to Import Mass Effect 2 Save Game in Mass Effect 3 without any issue.
