Mozilla Firefox not opening

Mozilla Firefox not opening
Hello friends,

I have just installed Mozilla Firefox. But when i clicked on desktop shortcut, its not opening. I have also tried opening it in programs from start menu, but doesn't work. Can anyone help?

Click Start, point to All Programs and choose Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode). If that will open, it may be a corrupt theme that is causing the problem. Then, click TOOLS => Clear Private Data => Clear Private Data Now. Close it. Shutdown and restart your computer.

It probably is an extension problem. First of all uninstall firefox. Then right click on start=> Click explore =>Tools =>Folder Options =>View =>Show hidden files and folders.
Then browse C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\application data\mozilla
There delete the "Mozilla" folder. And Reinstall firefox. All the best!

Sometimes Firefox fails to start up because of some add-ons. When Firefox is opened, it runs in background and it is present under the processes list in task manager but is not listed under applications that are running. Try to do this:
First go to Task Manager and end process “firefox.exe”
Go to programs -> Mozilla Firefox -> Firefox (safe mode)
In the check list select for defaults and disable all add-ons.
Click make the changes and restart system.
Now Firefox will start normally without any issues.
