Iron Front - Liberation 1944 has lots of bugs
I purchased Iron Front - Liberation 1944 yesterday and started playing the game. I played for around one and a half hour and I am still stuck in the tutorial of the game. Usually the tutorials for any game are a short description of the controls and the features in the game. But here in Iron Front - Liberation 1944, the tutorial doesn’t seem to end. There are no proper instructions on what to do and where to go in the game. It is like a child given a gun and locked in a training room. Finally I got tired of it and left the game without even trying to complete the tutorial. Did anyone go past the training in Iron Front - Liberation 1944 and has played the game. How do I get past the training and play the main game. Is the game made this way only or is it some bug that is stopping me from completing the training in this game. Can someone help me on this issue?

Re: Iron Front - Liberation 1944 has lots of bugs
Actually the problem that you cannot complete the training in Iron Front - Liberation 1944 is because the game is released before clearing the bugs in it. The training that is made available in this game is also filled with numerous bugs. I don’t know till which part of the training you reached, but let me tell you, the bugs are all over the game and thus it makes the game almost unplayable. The first bug that irritated me was the camera movements in the game. I can’t exactly tell what’s wrong with the camera used in the first person view of Iron Front - Liberation 1944, but it seems that someone has really messed with the focal point and the perspective of it. This gives an awkward feel to the game and thus makes it different for regular players of first person shooter games. Due to this problem, even though you have moved your mouse, it seems like camera is trailing behind. But nothing much to worry about it, as after few minutes you don’t notice it much.

Re: Iron Front - Liberation 1944 has lots of bugs
Since you mentioned in your title that you cannot get past the training, then I tell you that it is a bug. The game fails to tell you what you need to do next or where to go next. In any war based game, in the training mission, we are fist told that we will now be trained for explosives or heavy weapons. But here in Iron Front - Liberation 1944, we aren’t even given a slightest hint about what we will be trained for next or what we will be facing. The worst part of the tutorial mission is that in the end of it, you are assigned a squad and you have to enter a short fight with the Russian army. Since the tutorial itself is bugged, I spent half the time thinking if I should proceed towards the objective directly or should I use certain tactics to make my way. Finally after thinking and shooting a couple of enemy’s soldier’s, I thought of making it straight away towards the objective marker. Aong with my squad went on sprinting towards the direction of objective and shooting anything and everything that seemed to attack us. In between this run, one of my squad mates got injured. I know that this game had an option to heal him. But thanks to the bugged tutorial, I couldn’t get a fair idea how to heal him. In my desperate attempts, I ended up carrying him on my shoulder. After sometime I realized that he died due to his injuries. I’d say that tutorial mission fails to give enough information about the game and the way to play it. This problem is caused due to failing of instructions to show up on the screen.

Re: Iron Front - Liberation 1944 has lots of bugs
The worst part about Iron Front - Liberation 1944, I felt was the game’s graphics and especially the textures used in it. In the trailer and the graphics seems quiet fine in the beginning, but as the game proceeds further, you notice that textures used on the buildings are of very poor quality and very flat. The developers seem to have used up all the resources in designing the fancy foliage and characters. The buildings and other structures are made such that one can enter them and explore most of it from inside. From a distance they look great. But when seen closely, you will notice the flatness in the textures. Other thing that I disliked about Iron Front - Liberation 1944 was that it crashed frequently. Also many times, the soldiers fail to refuse the vehicles when ordered. I don’t know how many of you noticed it, but many times I feel that enemy, always targets the main player more than the other soldiers.

Re: Iron Front - Liberation 1944 has lots of bugs
I don’t know if it is a bug or what, but it seems that resolution has no effect on the performance of Iron Front - Liberation 1944. The resolution is just given to scale the view of the game for the screen. When I started the game, the resolution was set to my monitor’s resolution, that is, 1280 X 1024 by default. I started playing the game and I saw that I was getting low framerate. So I reduced the resolution to 1024 X 768, but there seemed to be no difference I the quality of the graphics, neither did the frame rate increase. But when I played on multiplayer mode, the frame rate increased greatly. I don’t know how the display settings of Iron Front - Liberation 1944 work, but they seem awkward to me. Also while connecting to an online lobby, this game crashed around five times in a row.

Re: Iron Front - Liberation 1944 has lots of bugs
Iron Front - Liberation 1944 is being described as a tactical shooter. But I never got a feeling that I need to use any intelligent tactics to finish the game. Also the game is focused much on the tank wars. This completely goes against the term tactical shooter and turns into a dog fight. The controls of the vehicles seem so jerky that it feels frustrating to drive a vehicle in this game. This game also suffers from lag issue, especially when using the vehicles. After entering any vehicle, the game stops for some two seconds, before resuming as usual. This game is filled with so many bad bugs; I think that it will be best for the developers to release a patch soon.
