Hi,
I'm getting this error message, The requested operation could not be completed due to a file system limitation, while downloading large files(5-6 GB). I use utorrent for downloading movies. I have window vista and 80 GB free space on my notebook. I get the same error when I try to copy the file to another folder. Can you enumerate the file system limitations?

Try Ccleaner, you disk spave must be fulled. Software of cleaning and maintenance of the system, CCleaner is today one of the best in its class, makes a pretty quick scan yet comprehensive to enable the discovery of many types of data that are not needed (temporary files, records, facilities badly, cookies, traces of the Explorer, history ... ... ..) and then try defragmentation.

The compressed files are more likely to reach the limit because of the way files are stored on disk. Compressed files require further extensions to describe their design. Furthermore, decompress and compress a file fragmentation increases significantly. This size limit is usually between 40 gigabytes (GB) and 80 GB for a very fragmented file.

When a file is highly fragmented, NTFS uses more space to store the description of the assignments associated with the fragments. The information is stored in the allocation of one or more file records. When the mapping information is stored in archival records, other structure, known as the ATTRIBUTE_LIST, stores information about archival records. The number of structures ATTRIBUTE_LIST_ENTRY that the file can have is limited. We can not give an exact file size limit of a compressed file or a highly fragmented

I had the same problem copying the data from the directory of uTorrent, the Windows error message, The requested operation could not be completed due to a file system limitation. But it omits that by using "File Splitter, which splits files into smaller parts and then copying the folder. I joined them again and ready, its been working until now, its worth the effort and we doesn't have to wait for long time doesn't, certainly not enough to download the entire file again!

Utorrent Error : The device is not ready
Hey everyone,
I have a windows xp pc. My problem is with μtorrent it gives me error message, The device not ready (meaning external HDD). I rebooted, disconnected and reconnected (the same port and another USB port) DDE is still not ready! In my preferences there is always the right path for downloaded files. I am Norton Antivirus. According to research on the net or I think the problem is with router, what to do to solve this problem.

The Error : The device is not ready is because that you left something in the drive and are looking to install the installer disc in E (which is probably a DVD drive). Find out what is and finish installing. Look also at Home (open it with msconfig) to see if you see this task.

No there is no drive in cd rom. I use μtorrent some time. But after a recent format, I reinstalled version 1.6, and there is no way to find this damn green icon. I have configured my firewall (zonealarm) to open the proper port, I have tried others, I tried without firewall, that of XP has never been activated, I have a adsl modem plugged into usb. Well, hope to have been complete in my explanation, I thank you in advance for your any suggestions.

what port you use? Check whether no other software uses the same port. Or maybe internet service provider has filtered so. Have you have tried several tracker (public / private), multiple torrents? Check that your modem does not act as a router. I think something is blocking your ports.

When you follow the path to reach the file, you do not see the file? Enable viewing of hidden files in tools / options windows explorer. And trying to use the software "Unlocker" to see what processes using this file. You are of course not run 2 times μTorrent. To do this, press ctrl + alt + del, processes tab, look if you have two files named utorrent.exe.

Make sure that you define the location of the external drive into your preferences, on the download tab. The thing is, in my case, insisted on the old location, even after doing this and start the torrent again. So, simply click your right and go to advanced and set the download location. To set the location manually and the strength to start anew. It should work this time. You can do a lot of torrents at the same time. Hope that helps.

I have recently installed utorrent on Windows 7 pc, from then I started experiencing BSOD problem after installing uTorrent on windows 7. Window boots normally, after 2 mins starting, it causes Bsod. It was works fine on my vista. What may be causing BSOD problem ???

If there is a famous client to download torrents that is without any doubt is uTorrent. Well, apparently many users of Windows 7 are having serious problems with uTorrent in the operating system (it works for me perfectly well that it is only in certain cases). There is something unique to uTorrent, others have commented the same thing with Mozilla Thunderbird. Start the windows 7 in safe mode and ensure that drivers are installed properly.

Try this to resolve BSOD problem after installing uTorrent on windows 7: Right click on utorrent.exe and click Properties. In the new window that jumps select the tab "Compatibility". On this tab check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and in the dropdown menu select Windows Vista. Tick the option "Run this program as administrator" is in the bottom of the window. Click on the OK button. Done. This opens uTorrent and go to Options> Preferences> Advanced> Disk Cache. In this panel mark the options "Disable disk write caching of Windows" and "Turn off Disk Read caching of Windows." Sink the Ok button and go.

This was the bug in previous version of uTorrent. Users were having have problems such as uTorrent exceeds the limit of system memory and can sometimes reach the mark of 100%. Also occur download stops at 99.9%, false accusations of errors and so some bugs. In summary, the performance is not what uTorrent marking when running uTorrent with Windows 7. Anyways, although uTorrent 2.1 a new version that solves these problems.

Hi, i have a very short query here and hope you guys can help me out for sure. I am using Gmail as my default mail client where i use to get around 100 emails daily. Some are useless of them but while sorting out it takes lots of time. While searching for some tip regarding the same, i found this Automatically filter messages sent in Thunderbird. You can for example apply a label to all messages you receive one of your correspondents, automatically archive a newsletter, etc.. To do this, just go through these steps:-
Click the Settings menu.
Open the Filters tab.
Click on Create Filter.
Then set the criteria to be considered for the filter, the sender's name or such an expression is found in the message subject.
Click the Test button to display the filter for messages that match the criteria.
Click Next Step.
Then choose the action to apply to messages that match the criteria you've set, Apply label example.
Check the box Apply the filter to also ... conversations below to apply actions to messages matching the criteria that are defined in your inbox.
Finally, click on the Create Filter button.
And you are done!!

Creating new filter is not a panic in Gmail. Just click Create a filter next to the Search button on the Web, on top of any Gmail page. Enter your filter criteria in the appropriate fields. Click Test Search to search for messages that match the criteria of your filters in your Gmail account. You can update your criteria and run another test search, or click Next Step.
Select one or more actions from the list. These actions will be applied to messages matching your filter criteria in order to display the list. For example, you can choose to Forward matching messages to a specific email address, then Delete the messages in question. If you want to apply this filter to messages already in Gmail, check Apply filter to x conversations below also. Click Create Filter.

Does anyone has used the Google voice search. I had found my friend using the Google voice search service on his Nokia mobile. I want some information on the same. If you are using the phone like N95 or E71, then this you can use the S60 it will be better then that phone. The keypads of this phone comes with 12-digit. It is better if you are using this for making calls. But it is difficult to use if you want to type a couple of words on it.

Most of the Google products have good response, so I think that this application will also be better to use. As this feature had been tested before it has been introduced. First it has been tested this feature only in English and not it has been introduce more language in this features. Mainly this Nokia S60 devices works for Mandarin speakers only. Product Search it has been launched for the Product Search for the Android and iPhone and also they started to description available for all other phones. In the product search you can learn the product rating ant the review on that product. If you want to buy it you can also see the price of that product before shopping. The igoogle is also introduce for the Android and iPhone devices. We can use the mobile as the desktop now.

In the mobile you can also have the feature called Image search and the fast flip. The Google had brought the Image Search results optimizations to feature phones. With this feature you can see large number of image on the screen. You can also full screen it and also navigate the image very simply. With the feature of the fast flip you can get the scan news articles very faster.

In this you can have more features like Barcode scanning, Desktop-to-mobile query suggestions, Search by voice, Quick Search Box etc. If you are searching for some thing it scan and get you the result faster. In this you can do the search as like as you are doing in the computer. In this you also have the mobile search history. You can also search it by the voice and you can also take the help of the search box.

After the installation of the same you will notice that a wonderful task is added to the on the task area that will give you all the feature of the remember the milk to you. The best place to get this add on is the Google itself. You can give a search on then Google or go to the Google Chrome Extension page and then try to search for the keyword of the extension on the same page. When the result will display with the same then click to install button and it will install automatically. This method is helpful for all the extension download of the same. So do the same.
