Browser Hijack in Mozilla firefox
Hello friends, I am facing a serious problem in Mozilla firefox. I have a laptop which is installed with Windows XP on which I use Mozilla Firefox as the default browser. Nowadays the browser is working weirdly. Whenever a website which is desired to visit is entered in the address bar, the browser redirects to some other website. My friend told me that this is the case of browser hijack in Mozilla firefox. Hence I want to know What is Browser Hijack and how to solve it? Is it caused due to virus? Please help.

Re: Browser Hijack in Mozilla firefox
In browser hijack the preferences of the browser which were defined by the user are changed. Due to changes in the preferences the user is not able to visit the desired website when the address of the website is entered in the address bar of the browser. The easy way to solve the problem is to change the preferences in the browser manually by going into settings of the browser. To change the preferences in Mozilla Firefox, open the firefox and then click on Tools and select options. In option do the settings required according to you and then save them.

Re: Browser Hijack in Mozilla firefox
I think the browser which you have installed on the computer has got corrupt and needs to be replaced. If the files associated to browser get corrupted due some reasons like updating then the browser will not function properly. The best solution to solve the corruption related issue is to uninstall the browser and then remove all the files and the keys related to the browser from the system. Once all the files and keys are removed from the system you can install an updated version of the browser and then see if the problem continues. After reinstalling the browser again, I dont think you will be redirected to other website.

Re: Browser Hijack in Mozilla firefox
Some applications and add-ons which are installed on the Firefox can also cause the problem which you are facing. If the application or add-on which is installed on the firefox is corrupt then it will create problems in normal working of the browser. To be sure if the application or the addons are creating the problem, start the browser in safe mode. In safe mode only the basic functions of the browser are loaded without any application or addon. Therefore if any add-on or an application is creating problems then the browser will work properly in safe mode. To start the browser in safe mode, type "firefox.exe/safemode" in run tab. If the browser works properly in safe mode then find and remove the application or addon which is creating problems.

Re: Browser Hijack in Mozilla firefox
Usually trojans are the reason behind the browser hijack. trojans are nothing but virus's which when enter system change all the user defined settings according to them. Trojans have the tendency of broadcasting the private details which are stored in the browser, hence clear the cookies and the private data of the browser first. Then download and install Malware bytes application on the computer and run it in safe mode. The application will find and remove all the trojans which are found on the system. Meanwhile use some other browser for browsing.

You do not have to pay for the use of the Google Public DNS as it is free. If you are not having the account in it you can use the substitute to your current DNS provider. You can get a good and safe experience in the web browsing and it is also very fast. it has made or done a more development in the area of speed, security, and validity of results.

No the Google Public DNS is not the dependable name server or hosting service. It do not have any plans by which it can offer any DNS registration or hosting services with Google Public DNS. It is a merely or simply DNS declaration and caching server, it also does not execute any blocking or filtering of any kind. If you are using this you will be interested in using this functionality. You should consider installing a client-side application or browser add-on for this purpose.

It is a latest features it has been introduced a couple of months ago. This can be also used to power our wi-fi networks and it can be also used by the for visitors as well as our free public wi-fi network in Mountain View. The server is not depended on any other server. This DNS resolution services is also presented by the Open resolvers and your ISP. You can use this service as a primary or secondary DNS resolver along with any other alternate DNS services. This are the some of the features of Google Public DNs.

Re: Features of Google Public DNs
There are many things to believe when recognizing a DNS resolver that works for you, such as speed, dependability, security, and validity of responses. Unlike Google Public DNS, some ISPs and open resolvers block, filter, or redirect DNS responses. If you issue a question for a domain name that will not be able to come out, Google Public DNS it can any time returns an NXDOMAIN record, the browser should show this reply as a DNS error.

In this if you are getting any reply living the error message, like if you are searching for specific page and you are send to the another page. You can have a following result. A client-side submission such as a browser plug-in is displaying an interchange the page for a non-existent domain. Some ISPs may intercept and replace all NXDOMAIN responses with responses that lead to their own servers.

I think your getting error : A socket operation encountered a dead network because of using the Anti-Virus BitDefender. If you use BitDefender , You will encounter this error quite often (once per hour, or more often), then requiring full completion of the process utorrent.exe and re-opened. A complete solution is to use another Anti-Virus.

If you encounter this problem even without BitDefender, try to uninstall (not disable) the firewall. If it works, please let the forum μTorrent, a firewall is causing the problem. If you are not using a firewall, make sure you have the latest network adapter drivers, as problems can arise because of them. This can occur when physically disconnect the local network, or when you turn off your modem or router.

This error is usually caused by BitDefender. Disable the program does not solve the problem, the only solution is to uninstallation of BitDefender. If you run into this error, but not using BitDefender, it may take uninstall the firewall program. If you are not using any special firewall, you can upgrade your network card driver is gaining because it is often defective / expired driver s causing this problem. It can help also, if you reboot the modem.

After unistalling the BitDefender, use RegCure Registry Cleaner. You can choose which programs you want to launch on startup and you can stop unneeded software from starting automatically also find and remove corrupt files. Invalid entries in the section on dynamic link library the registry can cause frustrating application failures, RegCure restores and repairs the registry and keeps you out of DLL problem.

VMN Toolbar is a toolbar that installs harmful with many programs without your knowledge, It can spy on your browsing and retrieving data, therefore it is considered spyware but have also heard that it monitor the system while surfing the Internet and block pop-ups before they open.To avoid the return on their PC, do not skip steps too quickly by installing programs because often you are asked if you want to install a toolbar partner software. The VMN Toolbar currently only works with Internet Explorer.

VMN Toolbar can also be removed with the help of another application called Ad-Remover. It helps to protects your privacy and decreases the traffic of junk information to your computer but removes this toolbar as well. If you're running Vista, disable UAC the time of disinfection. Just download Ad-remover and save it your desktop. Disable your Vista's UAC and close all other running programs. Now double click the application and Run it as Administrator. Select the language and click yes. The tool will begin its searching phase. Once the scan is finished the report will appear.

With VMN Toolbar, you can easily perform several types of your search by entering keywords in the search box and clicking on the drop-down menu accessible through the lens tab. Do your research on popular sites such as YouTube, Wikipedia, Facebook, etc.. You can also change the options for the toolbar in a Web page of Internet Explorer browser. It communicates with the DLL.

This probably means that the closure of the connection is initiated on a remote PC, from which the download was working. So to combat this probably can only removal of the torrent from whose PC you where downloading. The fact that the so-peer network called peer-to-peer connection decentralized management server does not exit.

Do you have internet working properly, problems with accessing other segments of the network in your area, and as a consequence of the problem with connection / access to the tracker. Your client should be given at the full speed of your channel and packets of communication with the client tracker lost or reach too slow. Limit the configured rate the customer to approximately 85-90% of the capacity of the channel.

Maybe your firewall / antivirus completely blocking outgoing connections your torrent client => digging into the settings or even disable them. In some versions of utorrent is the incompatibility of configuration files, when updating old version of the client incorrectly applied to new and the solution for this "bug" is to complete uninstall (removal) of the client with further reinstallation of the client.

There is the possibility that tracker might be overloaded, and do not have time to handle all requests. Here you have not done anything. Go to the forum and look for a tracker to see if someone of the same problems and wait while administrators tracker resolve the problem.

There is no automatic move a minimum interval of the Manager. uTorrent will not let you announce more often than the minimum range (available as a column on the trackers tab and the interval. As such, if the minimum interval and the interval have the same value, you will never be able to announce it manually. You must do STOP / START to re-announce.

How to reduce URL length
How to reduce URL length
Hi, i have a Twitter account and have seen that if we drop any URL over ther, it gets shorten automatically. For me, that is really impressive as doing so we can get some more extra space for text. I think this can be useful in case of forum or a mail or a web address extension. So, i just wanted to know how can we reduce the length of any URL ? Any help will be appreciated.

Re: How to reduce URL length
When URLs are too long, it is sometimes uncomfortable to share ... Especially on Twitter, where messages are limited to 140 characters. The reduction services URLs make it possible, from a full address copied and pasted, to generate a much shorter address that refer to the corresponding site, but in drastically reducing the number of characters. TinyUrl is the service to communicate more easily a long and complicated web page address (URL) in the shortening automatically. Re: How to reduce URL length
TinyURL is a service reduction addresses the most popular, partly because it is one of the oldest. Always as effective. Just follow this steps to shorten your URL:
Open the home page of TinyURL
You'll find there a button named as make Tinyurl, click on it.
Copy paste the link you want to shorten in the field provided on the tinyurl site.
The service offers you define your own aliases, but shorter names are common and already used. At all events, enter an alias you think is free, the service will offer an alias if random is not available.
Click the Make TinyURL
Then select the address provided by TinyURL reduced.
Thats it !!

Alternatively, if you are Firefox user, you can have Spedr firefox extension that enables you to create short URLs by clicking an icon in url bar. Install this addon to your browser. To use it, Click over spedr icon in the firefox url bar. Wait a second while extension connects with spedr.com ... Done!
