Internet Explorer have stopped tracking history

Internet Explorer have stopped tracking history I recently came across a new issue with my IE. It has suddenly stopped tracking history. Win7 x86is my OS and this is giving great trouble to me. It shows all the history of about two weeks ago. But it’s just not updating the recent ones. All it shows is entries for RSS feeds and pages on my local intranet. I tried everything a non-tech savvy can think of. It’s time for a more expert advice, I guess. Any suggestions? Anyways, wanted to clear one thing before I could give you any suggestion. Is this happening with all users or one particular user? If it’s with just one user, simply recreate his local profile, that would be enough to fix it. Else, let me know. This will fix your problem for sure. Maybe, your history is overloaded and it needs a clean up Reply With Quote #4 Unread 22-03-2012 Heart Break KId Heart Break KId is offline Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Posts: 22 Re: Internet Explorer have stopped tracking history I tried it long ago. And as you said, it does fix my problem immediately and things just work perfect but only for a period of time. See, I have configured my IE to keep history for 20 days. It was just more than fine for a considerable amount of time till I ran into this problem lately. Carita Carlos, It’s just me, local profile and there are no other users using this PC. Why don’t you try reducing the days? As in, make it lesser than 2 weeks. Some, 10 days or so. Please take care to find out the size of your History.IE5\index.dat files. Both, the normal ones and the new Low one. Daily history is merged as a week’s history after Sunday midnight. Keep a watch of this too.

Application and games does not recognize Flash 11 update on Android 3.1

Re: Application and games does not recognize Flash 11 update on Android 3.1 I totally agree with above solution many times this type of problem occurs if the Plug-Ins and JavaScript is not turned on. you have to first open browser in your Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and after that you have to hit menu button and check Enable Javascript. Now after that you have to select setting and then you have to set to Always On for the Enable Plug-Ins now after that you will not face any issue. I was also experiencing the same problem in my tablet and then I have tried to search the solution on the internet and I have come to know that I have to enable Plug-Ins and JavaScript and after doing that my problem get solved. I think you should also try this solution. My Internet Explorer crashes with Windows Live Hotmail.

My Internet Explorer crashes with Windows Live Hotmail. Hey guys! Everything was working fine with my Windows7 and Internet explorer until my last update. Ever since, when I am viewing my email in Windows Live Hotmail, it spontaneously freezes and I receive the message “Program is not responding.” To make things worse, I lose all the pages open on my browser and I just can’t explain how irritating it gets and what trouble I am driven into. I need help; an immediate one! Reply With Quote #2 Unread 22-03-2012 KirtiPatel KirtiPatel is offline Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Posts: 280 Re: My Internet Explorer crashes with Windows Live Hotmail. Relax! I am not sure how to go about with solving your primary issue. I’ll definitely do some research at my end and update you accordingly. But, I can help you out with a temporary cheat. Till I or other forum-mates come up with a solution, use it. Whenever you open your mail, open it in a new window and keep all other pages in another. So, even if the system crashes, you’ll have rest of the pages open. I appreciate your effort in helping me. And trust me it did reduce an amount of frustration. But, I can’t really continuing doing this forever. Please come up with a solution ASAP! Since, you mentioned it started after installing an update. Try restoring your system. Allow me to help you with it: 1. Click Start 2. Click All Programs 3. Click Accessories 4. Click System Tools 5. Click System Restore. 6. The System Restore user interface should appear. 7. Click Next. 8. From the restore points available, select an appropriate restore point before problem occurred and click Next. 9. Click Next again. The restore process will run and your system will restart automatically. This would be enough. Considering the magnitude of your problem, I don’t think you should be taking such a long route. I had this same issue and I discovered the problem was Microsoft Silverlight. So, all you got to do to solve this ‘FRUSTRATING’ issue of yours is: Uninstall Microsoft Silverlight. That’s all you need to do. Reply With Quote

IE 9 and SharePoint are using too much of memory

IE 9 and SharePoint are using too much of memory I started using Sharepoint 2010 since last week. I started noticing occasional slowdown in my PC whenever I tried browsing sharepoint sites on Internet Explorer 9. I became curious and he further investigation led me to knowing that IE9 was using more than 1,400,000K of memory with just a single open tab. I am running Windows 7 x64 and I noticed IE9 was running as an x86 process. IE9 is using hardware rendering as well Reply With Quote #2 Unread 22-03-2012 Hadriel Hadriel is offline Member Join Date: Jun 2011 Posts: 565 Re: IE 9 and SharePoint are using too much of memory According the issue, I recommend that you may run IE with no-add-ons. Here is how you do that: 1. click Start 2. All Programs 3. Accessories 4. System Tools 5. Internet Explorer (with no add-ons)). Check the problem again. I’m sure this’ll work Reply With Quote #3 Unread 22-03-2012 Apple-Fan Apple-Fan is offline Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Posts: 20 Re: IE 9 and SharePoint are using too much of memory Hey, it did. It did work for me. Thanks a ton. I have another question, I have this 4GB memory configuration but I’m afraid, what’ll happen to users with lesser RAM.

Is there a Web based Steam chat Client?

Is there a Web based Steam chat Client? I don’t know whether this topic has been already discussed here or not but I didn’t see any thread regarding this over here. I always like to keep in touch with my steam friends. So I have to install steam and chat from there. It is normal and everyone knows about it. But while I am in office I cannot chat with my steam friends because it is not allowed to install steam client in an office laptop. So it would be very easy, if there is a web (Flash, Java or similar) based chat client exist for the steam. Is there? I was also looking for the same thing for steam but I didn’t get even a single result regarding this. I have to install steam client in my computer in order to deal with my steam friends. There is no other way you can contact them unless providing your personal id for them. However it is not always easy and not without risk. You cannot trust at all. It is really shame that steam didn’t provide something useful for web user. Every time and everywhere installing a steam client is not practical. I would very much like a web browser better than the one currently in the steam, and I know that can be run without significant decrease in performance. I wonder if there is a way to change it and if there is also a way to integrate a chat client as well. Any suggestions? The steam is just meant for distributing games over the NETWORK. Recently they have introduced community features to their service. I know that members of their community always want to get in touch with other members in places. It would have been useful, if they have provided more services beyond the steam client but due to have a responsibility to their members and due to security concerns, they have not decided to bring an external chat facility. So it makes sense with both cons and pros. Reply With Quote #5 Unread 22-03-2012 Baldwin Baldwin is offline Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Posts: 185 Re: Is there a Web based Steam chat Client? Steam uses a WebKit based browser , It has a same engine which you can see in Chrome and Safari. It was chosen over Trident (IE technology) because of cross-platform compatibility. There is no way you can change this as i think . Overlay chat is available via Steam social characteristics. Although it is not very convenient, you can access many chat networks through web apps. Xfire as well as PlayXpert web browsers present as part of steam in-game overlay. There is also the in-game Rogue browser. Xfire offers a video preview. We all hope that the tabbed browsing and offer more features than steam, although it is difficult to say if they meet expectations. Both also sent via chat clients. Raptr is the game overlay supports AIM and I XChat provides an addon for this purpose. I would try Raptr first. Nowadays any web browser can support AIM Express. It is an official AIM client-based browser. Reply With Quote
